Custom Estates, Generations in the Making
Bending Chestnut Construction builds custom estate and luxury homes across Middle Tennessee as fourth-generation family builders. Brent Fox and Chris Whidby grew up in Leiper's Fork, in families that have been respected businessmen and neighbors in Williamson County for generations.
Every project begins with the land it sits on and is meant to feel as if it had been standing there for a generation already. This website redesign had to convey their extensive pedigree.
All projects are documented at high resolution by a professional eye, and the design lets the images lead. The homepage opens on a twilight exterior, a metal-roofed estate glowing from within, a stone chimney rising against a dusk-blue sky, hydrangeas in the foreground. That single decision sets the rule for the rest of the site: the house is the hero, always.
The palette is deliberately simple: black type, white ground. Color is provided by the warmth of walnut, the patina of barn wood, the green of a Tennessee lawn at dusk.
Typography does the rest of the tone-setting. Headings are set in a fine serif while body copy sits in a light sans-serif. The pairing signals a company that belongs in the same visual conversation as the interior designers and architects it collaborates with.
Generous margins and unhurried spacing give the whole site the pace of a well-built home. It tells a buyer that this builder understands proportion.
Four pages carry the whole thing. There is no filler page built to chase a keyword, no service menu padded to look comprehensive. The structure trusts the audience, which largely arrives by referral, visiting the site to confirm an impression.
