SASCC: A Website Designed for Community Impact

The Successful Aging Solutions & Community Consulting (SASCC) is a nonprofit direct service provider and community consultancy, offering programs that empower older adults while helping governments and institutions prepare for the challenges of an aging population.

Its new website is more than a digital platform—it’s a bridge connecting diverse audiences to essential services, resources, and opportunities for engagement. Whether a senior seeking services, a donor exploring impact, or an institution researching solutions, every visitor to the SASCC site is met with clarity, warmth, and purpose.

AesthETics

The design process focused on creating a welcoming, intuitive, and relevant website for SASCC's multi-faceted audience: clients, donors, and institutional partners and focused on three core goals:

  1. Warmth Through Imagery and Branding
The site’s aesthetic reflects SASCC’s mission to uplift and connect communities. Warm, vibrant photography showcases individuals over 50 leading active, happy lives, resonating with both potential clients and donors. These images play off the organization’s colorful branding, creating a cohesive, lively, and approachable visual identity.

  2. Uncluttered Experience with Ample Space
To avoid the "overwhelmed" feeling often associated with nonprofit websites, the SASCC site incorporates lightly textured backgrounds and generous empty space. This approach ensures each section has breathing room, guiding the viewer's eye naturally through the content. It makes navigating a robust site feel effortless.

  3. Simple and Intuitive Navigation
With its multi-faceted audience, the site needed to offer clear, intuitive pathways for users to find what they need. The navigation structure is clean and logical, with clear categories for services, events, resources, consulting, media, donations, and volunteering. Key links are repeated in the footer for easy access, ensuring that every visitor—whether a senior seeking lifeline services or a donor looking to contribute—can quickly find relevant information.

Audience

SASCC’s mission required a design that could appeal to its wide-ranging audience, from individual clients to institutional partners. The website achieves this by balancing professional polish with a sense of approachability.

  • For Clients: The services section emphasizes accessibility, offering a clear presentation of SASCC’s direct programs and lifeline services.

  • For Donors: The donations and volunteering sections use compelling calls-to-action, underpinned by imagery and copy that highlight SASCC’s impact.

  • For Institutions: The consulting section is designed with a professional tone, offering concise, well-organized information on SASCC’s expertise in preparing for demographic shifts.

This audience-centered approach ensures that each visitor feels that the website speaks directly to their needs.
