Phase 1

Questionnaire & Content Delivery

1. Questionnaire Completion

   The kickoff for this project is the delivery of a comprehensive design and functionality questionnaire. You are encouraged to provide as much information and detail as possible to ensure a thorough understanding of your needs and preferences.

2. Content Delivery

   The questionnaire also includes a detailed list of all that I will need from you: the completed questionnaire, a list of each page I will be building for you (within the quoted limit), the final content for those pages, logo and branding assets (if you have it), and imagery and video assets (if you have any). The more complete your submission, the stronger our start, and the smoother the entire process will be. If anything is missing along the way, I'll reach out as I identify it, though please know that gaps in content will shift the timeline from what was originally quoted.

3. Kickoff Call

   (Optional) My quote includes an optional check-in call to answer any questions you may have and review your content and vision. If you’d like to do so, you may schedule that here.

4. Home Page Delivery Date Assignment

   Once you have sent all assets to me and let me know that's everything, I will provide a date for a home page delivery, typically about 2-4 weeks out. From there, leave it with me! You won't hear from me until that delivery date, unless I have questions along the way.

Phase 2

Home Page Design Delivery & Revisions

1. Home Page Design Delivery

   We start with the home page to confirm primary design elements — fonts, colors, and overall look and feel — while balancing them with your business objectives. We explore branding, tone, mood and layout while reviewing all site content as a whole. This design concept is based on thoughtful responses to a questionnaire designed to start us out strong in the right direction.

2. Home Page Feedback

   This is your opportunity to share detailed and honest feedback designed to achieve a website you love. You’ll review branding, colors, fonts, layout, mood, messaging, and flow, and consider how this will serve as an introduction to the rest of your pages. Prompt feedback from you will keep the project on schedule and our design discussion top of mind. Please gather all of your feedback into a single, consolidated document or email for each revision round.

3. Home Page Revision

   After you send your consolidated feedback, please allow up to a week for me to complete each round of revisions. I can often complete a round sooner and will when my schedule allows, but planning for a week gives me room to do focused, thorough work on your site. I will complete your first round of design revisions and resubmit the home page for review. You will then have one final round to fine-tune. After this second round, the home page is approved and locked, and we will continue on to the rest of the pages. If substantial new content changes are introduced after this point, they may require an additional fee and will extend the project timeline.

Phase 3

Remaining Pages

1. Design of all Remaining Pages

   Once the home page is approved, I will begin building your remaining pages based on the tone and layout of that approved design. Note: there may be a lag of a week or two before you hear from me. You have not lost me! This is when I set aside a dedicated block of several hours to build out the rest of your site in one focused stretch, so I can dive deep and make sure it's everything it needs to be. You can still typically expect a response to project communications and questions within 24 business hours. If I do not have all of your content, this will delay the project.

2. Final Design Review and Revision

   You will have up to two rounds of consolidated revisions for the remaining pages. Because the hard design work is settled by this point, these rounds tend to turn around quickly — often within a day or two. After the second round, the design phase is complete. This is your opportunity to share detailed and honest feedback designed to achieve a website you love. Substantial new content changes at this stage may require an additional fee and will extend the project timeline. Alternatively, we can move up training so you can begin making such changes yourself.

Phase 4

Mobile, Training, SEO & Going Live

1. Mobile Layout

   Once all of the moving parts have been finalized, I will complete the mobile layout.

2. Training & SEO

   After the design is complete, we’ll set up your 1-hour training session on Zoom which will include SEO setup and guidance.

3. Domain Connection and Going Live

   When you are ready to launch, I’ll request your domain details. This can take place before or after training.
