MAKING IT YOUR STAGE

Arts & Performance

Artists, musicians, performers, and filmmakers share a common challenge: the work is deeply personal, the audience relationship matters enormously, and a generic website template does neither any justice.

A great arts website does more than display work — it creates an experience that reflects your creative identity, builds a genuine connection with your audience, and supports the practical side of your career: selling, booking, ticketing, and engagement.

✔ Does Justice to the Work

Whether you're showing paintings, films, performances, or recordings, how your work is presented shapes how it's perceived. Layout, pacing, image scale, motion, and sequence are all key design decisions in elevating your portfolio.

✔ Communicates Your Creative Voice

Your website should feel like an extension of your identity, not a template someone else filled in. Typography, color, movement, and visual language all contribute to a first impression that resonates.

connection and community

From email list building to membership spaces, event ticketing to gated content, your site can do far more than serve as a digital brochure. The right structure keeps your audience close between shows, exhibitions, and releases.

practical infrastructure

Online sales, booking inquiries, press materials, event listings, streaming links — your website should handle it gracefully.

FEATURED WORK

Elizabeth Page

Elizabeth Page is a contemporary artist whose work uses gold, silver, copper, and mother-of-pearl to create reflective paintings that shift with light, movement, and the viewer's position. Her site needed to mirror that quality — responsive, alive, and experiential rather than static.

The redesign introduced a new brand identity built around sculptural typography and a paired sunburst mark, then reoriented the site around three audience paths: experiencing work in person through selected galleries, exploring the portfolio online, or entering the Collectors' Circle — a fully gated membership space hosted within Squarespace, offering studio audio and video, behind-the-scenes films, works-in-progress documentation, and early access to new collections.

“Sara is a consummate professional. She stuck with me patiently as I took my time and allowed the process to unfold organically. She was always open to suggestions but not afraid to make better recommendations piggybacking off my thinking. Her work is unique and I appreciate her different style.”

— Dana Danielson, Black Sheep Design

“Sara is an exceptionally talented and knowledgeable designer and Engagetaste is a top-notch team and design firm. She is a great designer and a wonderful coach. My family thinks I paid 10x for the site than I did.”

— Thomas Born, James Born Art

“Sara understood exactly what I was after and helped me develop my dream website. And, her attention to detail and communication throughout the project was outstanding.”

— Manuela, Alma Colours
