A Light & Airy Site for an Emotionally Grounded Counseling Practice
For Find Your Healthy, the goal was to create a space that felt welcoming, steady, and unhurried. Kelley’s work as a therapist centers on helping clients reconnect with their own inner wisdom, especially those navigating perimenopause, trauma, chronic dieting, or relationship stress. The site design reflects that approach.
The first thing visitors see is a slow-motion video: a woman opens filmy curtains as sunlight spills into the room. This isn’t a logo animation or a call to action—it’s a mood. It signals that this site is built to unfold slowly and immediately creates emotional space.
Typography
The site’s fonts make the site feel designed and personal without being performative.
Headings are set in a minimal, elegant Art Deco-inspired serif. It has just enough character to be memorable without feeling decorative. It feels structured but feminine—a good match for the thoughtful but approachable tone of the practice.
Paragraphs are set in a humanist sans-serif with subtle calligraphic cues. It has a handwritten rhythm, not in the literal sense, but in its slightly variable stroke and dynamic spacing. It feels more like someone speaking to you than like text on a page.
Color Palette
A restrained palette supports emotional ease.
A warm, creamy off-white serves as the background color across all pages. It keeps the site feeling light and open, without the coolness of stark white.
A muted orange-red is used only for lines, buttons, and the footer. It’s a small accent, not a dominant color, that brands the site.
All text is set in a deep charcoal gray, which softens the reading experience and avoids the harshness of black.
Flow
One of the strongest design decisions on the site is its use of roomy spacing. Every section has the space it needs to stand on its own. Margins are generous. Paragraphs are broken into digestible pieces. There’s no visual clutter, no crowded columns, no pressure to scroll quickly.
Imagery
All site photography is unified with a subtle whitewash overlay, giving the entire site a soft, luminous quality. This is a small but important choice—rather than relying on bright, contrasting colors or highly saturated photos, the imagery is toned down to feel cohesive and calming.
Tone
The content feels like a conversation, gentle and trustworthy.

“Sara was fantastic. She responds very quickly to communication, and she has an incredible eye for design. She took my goals and created a website that I am really proud of. Additionally, her final meeting, where she provided a thorough Squarespace tutorial and SEO education, was so well organized and helpful. This investment in my business was worth every penny.”
