My Most Recommended Squarespace Plugins
The Squarespace platform offers an elegant website presentation that is easy to manage right out of the gate. But, after you’ve been an official website owner for a while, you might get that itch to customize it to personalize it and offer functionality that better fits your offering. You can do that with custom code, which I utilize in some fashion for most of my builds, but plugins are a great option for the beginner as knowledge of coding isn’t required and, sometimes, it’s just better to not reinvent the wheel and utilize solutions someone else has already perfected.
The following are tried-and-tested, go-to favorites I’ve used on many websites and were created by developers I trust and who offer no-charge updates when the Squarespace platform has changed and great customer support.
Popup (Lightbox) Anything
Create pop-ups from buttons, links, images and galleries in minutes. I just used it on The Dicks Consulting Group’s website to pop up a YouTube video player on the page from a unique thumbnail.
Blog Filter
Filter and sort any data on your Squarespace site such as you see on my portfolio page.
Mega Menu
Add a bit of flair to the standard Squarespace navigation with images and multiple levels.
Age Gate
This age verification plugin was created with businesses in the alcohol, cannabis, and CBD industries in mind to satisfy legal requirements for access. I recently used this plugin for Fosforo Mezcal’s new website.

Respond to site visitors immediately with a live chat feature on your website. I just installed this on ONNIT’s website.
